Hi all,
Does any one out there happen to have or know where I might get hold of any past pictures of Chiya ?
I understand she won the yearling filly class at Haydock Park in 1999 and was 4th at Towerlands the same year - but I can't find any pics of her anywhere and would love to see some.
She was bred at Malthouse, sold to Caroline Kilford,then loaned to Andrea Taylor (Tucana) for a year, and then sold to Anne Hawke (Woodlay ) and later Dawn Bradbury(Gold Leaf) before ending up with me, where she will stay for the rest of her days !
I adore this mare, any info or pics would be most gratefully received !

Chiya is a lovely mare. Lovely to hear you're going to keep her. I was sad when I saw her up for sale again.

Yes she does seem to have been passed about rather a lot (through no fault of her own) which is such a shame as she is so sweet and kind and just wants to be loved. (Which she certainly is now!)
I fell in love with her the moment I saw her, but it took 2 and a half years before I could finally get hold of her, but she's so worth it!
Love to know how you know her/anything you know about her. |

Hi Jane,
Never saw her in the flesh, but I bought a colt from Annie Hawke and noticed Chiya on the website. Must say I always liked her, and really just noticed each time she was up for sale and felt quite sad that she was moving about so. She is such a quality mare and always looked a lovely kind mare.
Sorry I have no information. Just always liked her.
All the best with her and I'm sure she will give you some lovely foals.
