Has anyone any idea if this mare has any Crabbet in her, or is she all Russian? I have her full breeding but I don't know any bloodlines really. Though by Sambist she is not in the http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/ as a prodgeny of his, how do I get that corrected? Novah is in it as I put her there.

Hi Diane
Novah is 3/4 Russian, the sire of Narva - Armaniak is Polish, he was bred at Janow Podlaski. With Russian lines, if you go back you will find that Crabbet is present in a lot of them as Crabbet sold a lot of horses to the Russians. The Russians also claimed a lot of Polish arabians as war booty so they are present as well, and then there is the influence of the Egyptian arabian especially after Aswan (Raafat) was gifted to Tersk by the Egyptian government. So the straight Russian is really quite a mixture although for me the Russian arabian is king or queen, depending on the sex
Hope that helps you any more queries just contact me |

Thank you, thank you.
I have several super shots of her doing endurance, but non poseing naked. I will try and get a decent one in a few days, we should get some sun by then.
I bought her from a couple from near EM Airport as they were going to France to live. They said at the time she was well bred and had been offered a lot of money to be used to breed from. As they wanted her into endurance they accepted my offer.
Her dam looks great, but I see Novah isn't on her list of offspring. Are these omissions due to the fact she was not shown, or I don't think she was, just a field ornament. |

No Diane, she will appear in the progeny listing in a couple of days, its take that time for the allbreeds system to get them in there, so don't worry check on Monday or Tuesday she'll be there....An action photo would be great.... Sue |

Hi Diane,
I would say that Novah is Russian (her parents is bred by Tersk)! Tho' her bloodlines do have some Polish, Egyptian, French and also 14,0625% of Crabbet breeding.

Maracz, she is a gem. A right caracter. She is on a few weeks break at present and to start with was "not amused". I think she is in the grove now though because when I go up to her in the field it is ears back till I fuss her, the mumpty.
I'm thinking of putting Shahwan up on her this spring. Anyone got any constructive thoughts please. Blood lines, etc. |

Novah was born at Umm Qarn - I remember her as a foal up to two, when I worked at the stud. I'm pretty sure she is classed as 100% russian. I know that Nevesta was (what a beautiful mare she was - the queen of the stud) as was Sambist. |

I left before Nevesta died, but not by much. I lived in the house behind the pen. Came back about 5 months after I left to say hello to Scot and Mark (who had to be surgically removed from his tractor!) |
