Does any one have any pics of RUSLAN ARABIAN stallion born in 1970.
He was the sire of my old mare she was out of monclare crystall princess.

At stud with Mrs. Linda Pearson, Greenside Farm, Mottram Old Road, Hyde, Cheshire. In 1974.
Haven't found a picture yet but think I have seen one somewhere in my old magazines.

Ginger Horse, I have a couple of portrait pictures of Ruslan at Haydock Park from a good few years ago. My friend is an am. photographer and he took them, then let me have them because he was the sire of my palomino part bred (out of Monclare Morning Coffee). Would have to try and find them but I would be more than willing to let you have one. Am sure that his pic is in some of the old Palomino magazines.
There is another thread somewhere and I can't remember the lady's name but she did an absolute brilliant job of scanning all the photo's from 100's of mags and has them all 'somewhere'. (If the lady reads this am sorry just can't remember you name - but well done you for ALL the effort you have put in).
Just gone through one of the other threads it looks like its Saddlebred that has catalogued all the photographs. |

Hi D, Saddle bred found me a nice pic out of a mag of Monclare crystal princess my old mares dam and my mares full bro also by Ruslan. It was a stud ad for Ruslan but no pic of him.
would love to see your pic of Ruslan. |

| Found an add for him in the AHS 1976 No.43 under Linda Pearson sorry no picture yet, nothing before this date so will look a bit later, anyone know if he had any winning anywhere at shows etc. and can add I remember both El Meluk & Mikeno, Great horses especially in the flesh...Sue |

Ginger Horse, only have scanner at work, and to be honest not too sure how it works. If you want to e.mail me with your address I would gladly post one on to you. I found two (they are the same) head shot and in black and white Bit samller than A3 but bigger than A4. They are very good pictures though. Am sure I have one of him being ridden but that means dragging out the old suitcase from under the stairs!!! Have loads of pictures from Haydock Park in the late 70's. Will have to learn how to use the scanner and then get them on here - that may take a while though - am a technophobe!! |

Hi catqueen love your pic of ruslan how old would he of been in your pic???
This is my 1977 mare floss who was sired by Ruslan the pic was taken in 1993 with her first foal by White Khan.
This is her with her second to last foal (1998)who was by a red and white stallion, Floss had three red and white foals ,two chestnut, one bay and one grey.

Pic came to day, Wow it is a big one once again thank you.
Do we khow who owned him in 1976.
The AHS told me my mare was bred by Miss Julie Ashton in 1977 i think from Cheshire, do you know her ???
Ruslan is the grand sire to Harry and Ceris in my sig below.
ceris who is part bred is in foal for march 2008 to Prince Razeyd who looks the same sort of type as Ruslan.

| So pleased you got it. Bit of a shame that its in black and white but my he is a handsome chap!! Sorry don't know of Julie Ashton. It was many years ago when I used to help on a small 'stud' in Whitworth (Nr. Rochdale). Was on a learning curve then and just helped out at weekends. She had Arabs and Palominos but I didn't start going there till about 1978 ish. Was there for a couple of years and when 'Fella' was born fell in love with him - then moved to a stables nearer home. Eeeeeeee them were the years!!! Miss them so much - will have to go on the lottery me thinks. |
