Don't know if anyone can help but we have a lady staying with us at the moment who has ridden here ( here being west Wales) from Switzerland. She plans to ride up through Wales to Holyhead then across to Ireland. This ride is in aid of two charities, a horse rescue charity and one for homeless people. She would be very grateful if anyone likely to be on her route could offer a nights grazing / stabling for her very well mannered horse Gitan and somewhere for her to rest her head! Jessica has had some pretty horrible experiences of horse people in S E England so it would be nice to redress the balance! Thanks everyone Cheers Lisa

Jessica & Lisa are due to arrive here today.........it's VERT wet here - torrential rain - so I expect them to be rather bedraggled by the time they arrive! So will get the wood burner stoaked up to dry wet things & a warm stable for the horse!
Tomorrow I am riding on with Jessica to Rhayder........hope its not as wet as we have to cross high, open country! Will try to get some photos!

They arrived about two hours ago - rather wet - so now we've lots of horsey/human stuff hanging to dry in the house. Lisa's OH has picked her & her beautiful Arab mare up & they are homeward bound....Jessicas horse is happily stuffing his face in a stable & Jessica is in the bath....so everyone happy
We plan to set out tomorrow before 10 - forcast for not as wet tomorrow - thankfully! I will be riding as far as Rhayder with her & then my OH ids picking me up. Jessica is staying the night at the Red Kite feeding station & also shelter there for her horse - alan is going to drop off some of our hay & feed for her horse there -& accommodation sorted out for them for the next couple of nights northwards. |

Hi Judith, Hoping you get this cos couldn't make my email send to yours yesterday! Just to say thanks for all your help with Jess. Bet you all four had a lovely ride today, much better weather and I'm sure Rowan was a lot more polite to poor old Gitan than Sealy was! She is absolutely loves people but deeply resents any horses (other than our family) in her personal space (approx 80 yards!) Hopefully will see you tomorrow, I had discussed this with Jess and she wanted me to come up while we had the chance. Cheers Lisa btw everyone Judith's b+b is fab for humans and more importantly horses, lovely safely fenced paddocks, with all weather mini paddocks attached and each with it's own shelter..perfect. Fantastic riding straight off the farm. Also Judith has some lovely horses including the Crabbet stallion Rameed... a real gentleman. Nick I have emailed you, hope you got it , diolch eto. |

See you later Lisa
Here are a couple of photos of Jessica & Gitan on our ride on the hills yesterday.......the weather was kind & we didn't get we although when we were up ontop we watched the rain sweeping across the valleys below us. Also had some really close up views of several Red Kites as they hovered right overhead & by the side of us - they were so close - amazing!!
