I bred and Anglo Arab 13years ago from a mare who I think had a high percentage of Crabbet. Would anybody be able to tell me if my anglo can be included as a part crabbet? I am looking to bred from her so help with her bloodlines would be appreciated.

It is possible to work out from the Arab % what the Crabbet % is in a pedigree. My old girl is 75% Arabian and 67% of that is Crabbet. The Crabbet Organisation did do these for my 2 part breds a few years ago. I have no idea why they have stopped? Maybe it's the Pure -Part divide again ! |

Hi Maria,
Your AA mare is 38,28+% Crabbet, and if you breed her to a 100% Crabbet stallion.. the foal will be 69,14+%. Not enough, it must be 75%+ for Crabbet Shows (if AA is aloud?)!
Hi Georgia,
Regarding the certificates.. there is now a backlog for around 9 months, and 'we' are asked to wait until Januari 2008 for a new order. I think they will concentrate on the purebreds for a long time, but they say that you don't need a cert. for the Shows.. a confirming letter from the Organisation will be accepted!

Just found this from the earlier thread re part bred Crabbet %'s.
"As for the part-bred issue. A couple of Certs were issued early on actually in error. We had taken a policy decision not to do Certs for PBAs purey because we do not have consistent access to the necessary pedigree information. That does not mean you cannot get feedback on the Arabian bloodlines in your PBA's pedigree from us, we just do not do Certs with a precise percentage." |
