Well I've done it I've been to see and ride her. She was lovely, very thin skined as her bridle had rubbed her on the head/browband, or she had been ridden when she was wet. I got to admit I was a light excited and nervous at the same time so once I got on she stood for a while then moved off, I think it was my knees knocking her side She rode really well very light in her mouth and responsive without being sharp. I did ride her out with another horse but she took the lead past some flapping bags for the other horse and did'nt care, the other horse was a bit nervous of it. We went past bin bags, close passing cars and other whinning horses and she did'nt take a blind bit of notice, but she did find one bit of braken scary Where we rode we went up the rode of about a mile and turned back down the road, I was told she might jog a little, but she did a few paces of jog, I talked to her and got her on the bit and the jogging then stopped. She is very lovely to handle and 100% in traffic. I think I am in love I am going back Wednesday night to ride her again and the owner has said she wants to see me and the mare bond before she will even think about selling her and would prefer I went to ride her for a while and to get used to her before any sale can happen. What a lovely lady she is. |
