Hi I went to the allbreeds site and put in Elijah's name and then went to his progeny and your mare came up then go her and you can trace all of her ancestors Hope this helps Sue |

I remember Ralvon Elijah from the 1980's when I used to buy horsey magazines. He was stunning. I think he was a dark liver chestnut. I am sure I have seen some photos of him somewhere..... Yes - have just put name in through Yahoo and came up with Camelot Farms where he used to stand - here is the link: http://www.camelotfarmsarabians.com/ap_ralvon_elijah.html
He is sadly deceased looking at this but his photo is pride of place on their homepage.
You are a very lucky girl having a decendant of this chap! Debbie |

Hi Aramist, Bariqa was bred by Mr.Michael Pitt-Rivers (by Shah Gold x Baidaa). Shah Gold was by the American bred and imported British National Champion The Shah. Baidaa was by the Reserve British National Champion Fari II, a sire of British National Champions. Bariqa was born in 1980 and measured 14:2+ at 6yrs old. A Championship winner as a yearling and a very good mother. She was sold at the Tollard Park dispersal sale in 1986 with a chestnut colt at foot and in foal with your mare, Eliqa. (Purchased by High Tor Arabian Stud). Here is Bariqa as a 6yr old.

Sorry, I"m having senior moments putting these pics on! Here is the wonderful Ralvon Elijah - the first pic "at home", the second pic My Favourite. What a colour. Just thought I"d show him in British mode compared to the American stance.

No Sue, I"ve never seen Baidaa. She"d already been sold to a Miss Hall who bred the Nasib colt Jetsetter from her in 1981. I seem to remember he did quite well in ridden classes(?) Baidaa had already had the dark bay colt Bayd the year before Bariqa. He was very pretty, though small. I think High Tor had him as well. The only other one I had any contact with was Bona Blue.A big upstanding, chestnut, Hanstead bred mare. Lovely to be around. Wish there were a few more about like her now. |
