I have just heard on the news that the Royal Lancs will be cancelled due to the bad weather. The show is only to staged in 2wks time,,does anybody know if Malvern may be cancelled also?????due to the adverse weather conditions,,,i will be so dissapointed if Malvern gets cancelled. I did hear on the news that they are going to move the royal lancs to Garstang next year

Yeah there moving Royal lancs to a new showground that is going to bw built near garstang! Were of to Great Yorkshire show this week but we had a letter this morning confirming that the show is going ahead, think it might be a bit muddy though! lol :)
Is anyone else going to Great Yorkshire????? |

I heard Great Yorks was off...And the RLAS equestrian side is being moved to a different date and venue....they are writing to all exhibitors in the next few days..so look out for your letters!
See you at the rescheduled Royal lancs..hopefully!!!! |

i dont think it will be re scheduled,, on the news it said they are planning next years show and it will be at Myerscough |

Well I got my letter this morning from great yorkshire saying it is going ahead!!! lets just hope the rain stays of!!!! |

The current Royal Lancs site is right by the River Ribble on the flood plain so inherently wet anyway... the planned new site near Myerscough should be much less prone to being affected by the wet, plus the access will be much better, so should be good news all round. Such a shame about this year though... I remember last years show was in the middle of a heat wave, the ground was like rock and we kept having to eat icecreams to survive. What a difference a year makes... |
