Barbie, Your boy is beautiful. They are so funny the way they play with their dogs. Mine do exactly the same then when they've had enough just stand there as if they don't exist. Bet your boy could do fab dressage. He did superb pirouette. I have a pure spanish gelding by Galerito, unfortunately he is no longer sound and can't be ridden. I wish he was a mare I would put a pic on here but can't seem to work it out. I will try again when more time. Sue |

Thanks Linda, I haven't got any recent professional pic as it is so long since he was out anywhere, but I'll try to find a good one and may be able to scan in one of him from his glory days. |

Hi Sue, if you do find a photo I'd love to see, you boy and my mare share many ancestors! If he takes after the Spanish side I'm pretty sure I already know what he looks like |

Hi Rosy, My boy is by Galerito out of Takrima, bred by Marianne Slesinger. I've sent a couple of pics to Linda who kindly offered to post for me. They're not the best because unfortunately it's so long since he's done anything that I have no up to date ones. These are old pics that I had to scan into my computer. One of these days I'll get my camera out but he doesn't really do posing for pictures, just like he didn't really ever like the in-hand showing. Sue. |

Linda, That's really spooky. I have just 5 mins ago been talking to Annie on the phone. Naz is a sweet heart but a bit of a wimp like my boy, they are so much alike in their ways. Annie and I do endurance together and we're off to Cirencester on Sunday, unfortunately we won't be riding together as different classes. The horse I ride Sundance loves him to bits. I'll put a pic of her on here one of these days too, not on this thread though, think I've hijacked it enough. Thanks again. Sue. |

Being wimps comes naturally to all my horses Sue its the way I bring um up, Mum does everything for them so they expect it, I know Annieand Rod spoil him and that suits me Nazzy and me had a real love for each other, I kept him entire till he was three and he never once tried to bite or put his ears back to anyone, he was a real cutie I will have to have a look for a picture of him as a youngster, and post it on here for you to show Annie |

Hi Sue, what a beautiful boy he is I knew he would look like that when I saw he was by a Galero son. He is very similar to my mare although she didn't have such a wonderful tail! she traced back to Galero on her dams side, also Jacio and Garbo, all 3 are similar. Also, yes Carla, it is "the eyes" yet again |

Linda, I'm sure Annie would be thrilled to see a pic of her baby. I can confirm that he does have a fantastic home, Annie & Rod are lovely and like me, and obviously many A liners they really care about their animals. You would have laughed on Sunday when we rode out we had to turn around on a BW as a bridge had been washed away and what is normaly a trickle of a stream was like a torrent. Naz & Sundance's eyes were out on stalks as they thought they were going to have to go through it. (Naz especially don't like water!) We then had to pass along part of a road which had collapsed because of the water. They were so brave

Thank you Carla & Rosy. Yes he definitely has those dark spanish eyes. He is so kind as well although he was quite a handful when I first got him cut late and full of attitude which he still has when he's that way out. |

In 2005 i used a 50% golden cross stallion on my Padron/Muscat granddaughter.... and I had absolutely no idea that the result would be that good.
We have alot of golden cross horses here in Denmark, and I wanted to combine it with the Padron blood, so well i tryed....
We had a lovely 2006 colt: My mare
His farther: Dalí SS (El Mokari x Dachee) - El Mokari is full brother to Sanadik El shaklan.
And my colt he is also on the sales section here, but its impossible to take pictures of him and get all his beauty and type down on the pictures
as a newborn
11 month old
he is sleeping here so his eyes looks small

Hi Carla and Egbert thanks for you comments re Mahalia! She really does shine in the sun Carla!
All the horses on this thread are lovely and I think you can see that one thing they share is that the eyes on them all are amazing! |

Nikki, you've no doubt seen from this thread why I love these horses so much. Carla, you're so right about the temperament, you really couldn't want for more. A few years ago a friend who I hadn't seen in years came to see me, we had been saying we should teach her to ride and took her out to the yard so she could meet the horses, she got as far as my little mare and no further - saying "I'll learn on this one", when I told her she was not yet broken she simply said "I'll wait then, this ones the nicest person" - this from a totally unhorsey person. There is simply something about the Golden Cross that makes them so special. |

Rosy, the fleabitten "golden cross" daughter in my first photo (on page 1) has been allowing my boys and their friends to ride her for the last 5 years, without ever being properly schooled or broken. I decided to send her away this year to have her professionally schooled (purely because of personal circumstances, I normally do it myself). The trainer loved her to bits, but the mare gave the trainer a very hard time!!! Even now she hates to be ridden by a "rider", she prefers children and total novices - strange!!!

Hi Carla,Nikki, I've just been going though some old photos and found these, 1st 2 taken when I first got my girl as a 2 yr old, last 1 about a year later when her head was just starting to 'set'. Not particularly good photos but thought you might like to see, only head shots I'm afraid.
Look both ways before crossing!
All ready and waiting to go out
I was trying to cheer myself up having just read the PM report, not a good read.

She's a real sweetie Rosy, is she the girly you lost when your field was "invaded"?
