I placed an order with Robinsons for mail order last Thursday - I had decided to treat myself to a Pink Ostler Grooming Kit with a bag, ive wanted one for ages but always thought they were a bit expensive....anyway I bit the bullet and decided - what the hell its only money and you cant take it with you. When I returned home today for an early lunch hour (been at work since 4am)I found a card on which had been pushed through the letter box saving I had a parcel behind my bin. Really excited so I rushed out and guess what......No parcel I checked around the house and in the back yard - still no parcel!!!! Anyway Ive just spent the last 20 mins on hold trying to get through to the courier and they recon they left it in a secure place "Behind my wheelie Bin". That secure it looks like someone has pinched it!!
Ive just rang Robinsons and apparently someone from there customer service team are going to contact me today - ref my missing parcel which happens to be a Ostler Grooming Kit and some cordless small clippers for trimming - £88 altogethor.
I'm fed up - how low will people go, it really looks like its been pinched

How infuriating!! Behind the wheelie bin is hardly a safe place, I would definately expect Robinsons to send the goods to you again, or re-imbure you for your loss, especially as they haven't got any signatures to prove that the items had been received. |

That's awful Robinsons should send out a replacement straight away, they will be able to claim from the couriers, they really shouldn't leave things behind bins. We send out loads of parcels every day, all of them require a signature on delivery. We have only ever had one item go missing and the couriers paid full compensation and a FREE re-dlivery. Don't be fobbed off with excuses and insist they send replacement out today for Saturday delivery! |

Robinsons have NO POD (proof of delivery) if they say they have, tell them you want a copy of it... They will have to replace it.... |

I agree with Emma, they should definatly send you another parcel out as they they have no proof that the courier has left it.
It is a sad world we live in i am afraid, there will be one well groomed thief out there somewhere...! |

OMG how awful! I remember we almost lost £300+ in cash because we sent it to our insurance company in special delivery and for weeks they where telling us they hadn't recieved it. Luckily with proof of a signiture that someone had signed for the delivery, they soon 'found' the delivery! |

Just got off the phone from Robinsons - I called them as I wouldnt wait any longer. I spoke to a very nice lady who apologised for the couriers poor delivery and explained they are expressing my items out immediatly (with a different courier), so I should hopefully recieve them by Monday lunchtime latest
I still cant believe whats happened - people will take anything if its not nailed down! Its also a really quiet area. Sarah x |

they couldn't have possibly left it behind one of your neighbours bins by mistake could they?

May be worth checking with the Police in case the contents have been handed in as lost property. (I know it's a long shot that anyone would be bothered to hand in found property these days) But: If the parcel was stolen, whoever took it probably wouldn't have any use for it unless they were horsey so may just have dumped the contents. It's suprising what get's handed into the police as found property. May be worth a phone call. |

I had a delivery today from a company who I had asked 'If no-one answers door please leave in porch', I heard the van pull in and was walking up the drive to see a rather flustered delivery driver hurtling across the car park with 7 dogs in hot pursuit!! When I spoke to him he had opened the stable type door rather than dropping the parcel over the half door (top bit was open) which is what I meant!!!!!!! Needless to say dogs don't need feeding tonight lol!!! |
