Any one point me in the right direction for a photo/picture of this 100% Crabbet mare, Blue Fantasy 1963. and any info that might be interesting, please. Sue

When I knew Blue Fantasy she was owned by Diana Wort of El Desta Arabians at Shrewton near Larkhill. "Fan" was pure white then and a breathtakingly beautiful mare. There is a photo of her as a young mare in the AHS news Spring 1969 No 28 (page 17) with her filly foal by Indriss. This was Istashra and there is a picture of her in the News Autumn 1973 (page 44) with her colt foal Seyhan (by Indimion). Istashra was also the mother of the multi talented Istfahan (by Aurelian) who was such a Wow at Sheer Versatility this year. Istashra was supreme champion at Bath and West in the mid seventies, and was an extremly good, and beautiful mare. The two sons that I remember,Seyhan and Istfahan, were very good stallions - very correct and typy - and good performance horses.

| Thanks Jan & Jak, Great help, found those now, would also be interested to see any pictures of her son, Istfahan, including any you can point me in the way of, taken at Sheer Versalitity this year....Thanks a lot folks, and we nearly had you married off Jan.....Sue |

Report of Sheer Versatility and lots of photos went to Paula straight after the event. I know that she has been having lots of problems with broadband but I believe those have been resolved now; hopefully pictures will appear soon. Istfahan was very successful on the racetrack as well as in the showring - perhaps someone might have or remember pictures of him racing?

| Thanks for your help Jan, Yes, found loads of info on Isthafan from 1984 to 1995, Bowdells Stud seemed to always have something in the AHS News relating to him or his sire or Ben Rabba, etc..and lots of reference to his showing & racing now found...Looking forward to seeing any pictures from the Sheer Versa.for 2007...and the boy in the flesh...
