 Yipee! I am now registered! Have surfing the site for ages but now part of it.
I have been a fan of arabians for over 40 years. My favourites are Crabbet and old English, but appreciate all the different bloodlines.

Another crabbet fan ... good... my mare is only 85% crabbet (bottom right pic) but she is 100% lovely. Well done for posting... once you start you can't stop.

I have been a fan of arabs since I met Naseel's Nephew in the late 1960's (I think). He was in full western gear. I just remember how soft his nose was!!!!!
Then I saw a picture of Daoud in the Pony Club annual and that was the start of arabitis.
My first pony was Honey - hence the name 'cos we called her honebunch. She was half arab, by Zorba (Fancy Shadow - Mafika). I bought her when she was 4 and very green, she stayed with me until PTS at 31! She taught me just about all I know about horses and bred two super foals - one by Tariq Khan and one by anglo, Dessert Fire. (Mountwood breeding).
I had a three quarter arab mare by Faro (Fari II - Shadora) ex mare by Jaffa). Very nice and looked like a pure bred. I bred one colt from her by TB - super horse!
Now I have a 21 year old 100% Crabbet mare by Prince Saraph ex Rissetta. She is in foal to Grecian Idyll (100% Crabbet) - a bit of a long shot to try and keep this line going. (see my response to Lindylou re. Mare with udder development)
Went to my first arab horse in 1970! |

| welcome to AL Honeybunch..my girl is also 21...and is only 1/3rd crabbet....but looks more. Fingers crossed she'll be going in foal later this summer....just have to find a suitable husband for her! |
