Now i have cracked how to post photos i would like to just put on two photos to commemerate my lovely old mare that I had to sell 3 years ago and who sadly died in february. She was a lovely girl and I loved her dearly, i am so pleased I now own her last foal, who is in the picture. Some people on here know Joli or her children and grandchildren, she was 21 when she died
and also my beautiful dog that some of you may remember from my rather unusual 'haunted dog'   post at the end of last year, Mungo died on New Years eve 2006 having been PTS with an incurable disease similar to Motor neurone disease. He was 2.

AAhh was Mungo a ridgeback? he looks it. we had a dearly beloved ridgeback who died at just 3 years old with a heart complaint, it does worry me that these dogs seem to have such a lot of illness |

Yes Mungo was a ridgeback and a tall one, he was 30" to his shoulder and pure muscle. He was a lovely dog at home with the family but had a few 'issues' with other people and dogs I will always miss him. The breed seems to suffer from the 'unusual' factor, high puppy prices causing people to breed for the sake of profit. Health issues are on the increase i'm afraid, one of the reason's i'm getting a norfolk next, i don't want to 'risk' another ridgie yet.
Joli was by Mudir X Jobil (Musketeer) bred by Jean Ratcliffe and owned for several years by Dr June. She is the grandmother of Kirsty Browns mare Marzookah and MinHe (Keren) has another grandchild. Jamana is very much like her Mum but will be a bit bigger, Joli was 14.2. She is very different now, it's funny looking at foaly pics now she is a grown up yearling!!   |
