choked on Happy Hoof? Mine did last summer and my neighbours' did yesterday.....has anyone else experienced this?

Been feeding happy hoof for years without problem. I do add a splash of watery speedi beet to damp it down though.

I too have been feeding Happy Hoof for some time without problems.

I agree with HeatherR if your horse is prone to bolting his food damp it down with water or Speedibeet, it will stop him

In addition to the above, mine have a very large pebble in their feed buckets too. Min size 4" x 4" !!greedy,s get bigger ones.!!

I hear Other peaple will also put a salt lick in for the same reason or so I am told.

With any chaff, I would dampen it. My old Warmblood had a narrow oesophagus so would choke on most things that were fed dry. Some horses. like he are prone to choke, but even if they are not I know I wouldnt like to eat anything that dry personally!! Smooth large rocks are a great idea to slow bolters down. Hope the horse is ok?Lx
