Amazing, what a partnership, makes you go all goose bumpy watching this. We are off for a dressage lesson today, will have to have a quick chat with Galoul and perhaps show him the footage. When you are struggling to learn dressage watching such a performance is quite overwhelming I can thoroughly appreciate the work and skill involved to ride so brilliantly.

Oh gosh, I'm in absolute floods here! Incredible - that mare looked pretty damn relaxed to me and the Rider With Invisible Aids! Himself remarked how rarely you see even a top dressage rider with such minimal aids, let alone doing something like that. I've never seen such accurate movement to music either: hoof falling dead on the beat. Wow.
I then went on to look at the vaulting videos too - wow again. Even seen people doing ballet on the back of a moving horse? Would love to see THAT live...

I just had a little shufty at H & H at lunch time and the mare wasn't sold and her rider said that he has give her the aids by using his head as she doesn't like you to put your legs on her! They must be a seriously close partnership to get a performance like that! |

My friend sent me that link whike I was in Spain, I picked it up in an internet cafe, and thru my gasps of amazement, every person(about 15) in the cafe got up and were stood behind me watching it...I dont think there was a dry eye!! That sort of riding, and relationship is what its all about. Power, grace, connection and trust...Simply amazing. Leighx |
