I also liked Marine Boy.
Scooby Doo was the first thing we saw on a COLOUR TV - really impressed by it!

Thanks Claire
Am going to have e "remembering" session after out B&Bs have departed.........somehow we are ending up with an extra person on the put-you-up! Contestants (& their partners) in a 75km mountain bike race starting from Builth Wells tomorrow........they are all rather in awe of the hils here..........MAD fools
At least breakfast at a normal time & not some uneartly early hour!
We have amongst the B&B guests - two from Australia, one from Finland & one from Burmah! Last week we had a gentleman from Iran (left 30 or so years ago when the troubles started).

We didn't have a TV til I was 10. Dr Who (with William Hartnell!!) was totally unmissable, and the BBC Sunday afternoon theatre shows like David Copperfield and other Dickens dramatisations were quite frightening! We loved TV so much when we finally got one, one Christmas, that my sister and I sat writing our thank-you letters with the test card on..
(Bet most of you never saw the test card!!).
Lori. My mum was 'engaged' to Jon Pertwee when she was a child. Their parents were friends and he wanted to marry my Mum, so they promised themselves, when they were 6 and 8 that they'd marry. Predictably they both married someone else, but the families never lost touch. His son's now famous. We loved him in Worzel Gummidge! I don't think he'd have taken well to a farm and Arab horses!!!
Edited to take out a bit that read very differently to what I meant!!! |
