i'm just wondering, of those of you who have advertised stallion for loan/lease, what sort of responce did you get?
now i know it all depends on bloodlines, how good the stallion is and temprament and so on, but is it easy to to find them homes? i know there are limited home due to them being stallions and so on, but with the market the way it is at the mo is it easier for people to buy rather than loan?
please don't post info on stallions for loan as this is in no way about advertising, i just want to know.
thanks suzanne

i dont think it is that good at the min loan or sale, my friend whom ive sent my mare to advertised a cracking many times a winner in the ring 14.3hh bay pba stallion for loan, wouldnt even know he is entire and to cover would think he wasnt going to he is that easy and quiet
This stallion has not had any response at all from ad but is it the word stallion that puts people off assuming they are all nutters?

I think it is more the facilities people have If you dont have your own place which many of us dont then the facilities that are on a shared diy livery yard are more or less not set up for stallions and colts If you have your own place then you proberly already have a stallion

uummm, it's a shame that people do have this 'stallion' thing. i think some very wonderfull horses miss out on homes just because they are stallions, even when people do have a place to keep them.
i wonder if it's the same for all areas of stallions and not just the arabians and pba's? i suppose that people would still rather have mares as breeding prospects or geldings for general. it is a shame really. |
