Just had to share that my new boy was so well behaved yesterday. He had his teeth rasped (no dope), was microchipped and had a saline drip run through his eye to his nose to sort out a blockage. All surrounded by farriers, vets, raspers, children and about a hundred yappy dogs! He's only just turned 6 and been at this yard for 2 weeks - I am so proud of him! Everyone thinks Arabs are naughty and hard to work with and sneer, yet one of the ladies there has to have her horse drugged just to be shod!!!
Just wanted to share what a fab boy he was and how proud I am of him!

Hi Rebeckah,
Isn't it just the best feeling
My arab mare has changed the minds of everyone she meets and stamped out the negative reputation our wonderful breed have from so many horsey people
Well done, and well done you, he obviously is happy with you too Or maybe it was that birthday party that did it Hope you didn't tell the equine dentist he was eating cake the other day! Did like those pics they were so cute

Oh bless him he is obviously happy with you!! I love that we can prove people so wrong, at my old livery yard my boy was always really well behaved for shoeing, dentist jab etc, whilst others had to be sedated!! |

Hi you must be so proud. Why o why do people laugh then you tell them you own an arab or anglo. My dream horse is an anglo and I do every thing with him. I have 4 children all under the age of 9 and dont have the time to ague with a horse. my anglo is great with the family, which include a nutty labrador, ducks sheep and a non-horsey husband, but even he likes and encourages me to do events with my boy.
People who laugh and say they would never have a arab --- certainly havent owned one!!

Rebekah, that is absolutely wonderful. What a brilliant chap you have. I must agree, it does make you swell with pride. I have finally got over the need to retaliate (sp)at the "bad arab" hype, it now goes right over my head and instead I dwell on all the good things genuine people say about Freddie.

Top horse!
Funny isn't it, how farriers, vets, dentists et al all comment on the excellent behaviour and manners of 'mad' arabs!
