Hi i am new to all this but just wanted to say a big thank you to all the people who have responded to my request on information on my horse's breeding. it is so nice to know that people are willing to share info.
i have always wanted a grey anglo-arab gelding and after finding him buying him and now starting to compete with him he really is my DREAM horse. everyone should own an arab or anglo at some point in their live.
we have done le trec - which is great fun, we did our first hunter trials last saturday and for thoughs people who say arabs can't jump - their darn well can and love it. we are also trying for the riding club dressage team.
even my husband knows monty (my horse) is the GOLDEN one!!
so a big thank you for sharing your arab experiences with me and all who join this fantastic forum.
I am also from Wales and own my dream horse!! Each and every time I look at her she fills my heart with love. Yes everyone should have an Arab/Anglo/PB in their life - only drawback is they are very addictive and one leads to two and so on!!
Hi and welcome Anna, So glad you like it here, totally agree with you the people are lovely. They have helped to make my relationship with "the special one" so enjoyable just by understanding and offering lots of welcome advice. Hope you have as much fun here as I do.
Welcome Anna On the "Arabs can't jump" front it's more of a case of "Arabs won't jump in public" for my boy, but we make up for it in other ways!
Would love to hear how you get on with your RC Dressage - what club to you belong to?
I belong to Chelsham & Bromley (Area 10) and sit on the committee.... we'll be on the team for the Area 10 qualifier this year I am sure as we came 3rd last Sunday in a Novice test (ahead of a couple who compete affiliated and an eventer).....Arabs can certainly do dressage!!
I can certainly understand your pleasure. I got my first Arab (at age 27!!) last year. She is the most amazing horse I have ever had. Problem is I keep looking at all the A Liners websites and their gorgeous youngstock for sale!! She has cost me a fortune but is well worth the cost - she even jumps!!!
Hi Anna and welcome to AL Its always nice to hear from those who have found 'The One' No pressure but as everyone said....We love drooling over piccies LOL
