The last of our B&B's have just gone (guests just don't seem to want to leave...!) & we have the house to our selves again....for a day or so till the next guests arrive. It now seems very quiet here & I have just about caught up with the turnround of rooms! Boy our dishwasher has been working hard! & no I don't mean the OH
One guest came with his horse for Fri/Sat & I rode out with him - his mare was a rather nice 8 year old 15.1hh Appy x Arab - terribly sweet little mare - I said he could leave her here if he wanted to She looked in build just like an Arab - lovely fine head - but she was a spotty with the typical Appy trait of hardly any mane & tail - it did look so funny when she flagged her tail in the paddock - just this whispy thing!! I should have taken a photo but didn't get round to it! He's coming to stay with her again so will do so then!
Last week had the BBC on the phone wanting to book all the rooms for the week of the Royal Welsh Show (4 day hugh agri show at Builth Wells - local to us) - they were rather miffed to be told we had been booked up since beginning of the year for it! Then I had a phone call from Japan - a very nice lady wanting to book all the rooms for the show!!
Must go & finish flinging the duster round & then a VERY large glass of cold dry white awaits

Blimey Judith, where do you get your energy from !
I'm exhausted with just two children, a husband and a horse (and she's at livery! )

By 'eck Judith! Sounds like a manic few days (and without chocolate too...I'm in AWE!) Washing, cooking, cleaning, hacking, tending horses, guests AND you still find time for AL! WONDERWOMEN!

How do you do it????? we had a barbie yesterday for the girls and their friends, n I was shattered. I've tried mailing you Judith, but it keeps coming back. Anyway, it was just to say you really must come to Malvern, I'll ring you in the week if that's OK.

Hi Judith...The Nationals at Malvern usually clash with The Royal Welsh at Builth. One (the Royal Welsh), virtually finishing when the other, (AHS Nationals, Malvern) starts. I like to attempt to go to both but logistics with the lorry 'coming and going' up and down country swopping horses and such like is a nightmare. So when these two shows are on the same week I have to choose, Malvern usually wins.
