Just got a puncture on my old shogun, no probs I'll just change it, the spare on the back door is secured with a chain and padlock cos I had one nicked, only the key for the padlock has disappeared, it's usually on my bunch of keys but must have fallen off how annoying is that, Mandy.

Had a slow puncture a couple of years ago at HoCoN, was happy to do it myself, but a rather large "adonis" helped me out - bless - luckily I remembered where OH keeps the key to the spare tyre (in the ashtray) so I breathed a rather large sigh of relief!!!

I've had a slow puncture for WEEKS! Solution..keep going to the garage to top it up I once had a flat on my old Diahatsu 4 track, so being the mechanics daughter that I am, set about unlocking spare, undid everything, hoicked it off the back (boy are those things HEAVY! Loosened all nuts on flat tyre, got the jack out...then spent 20 minutes looking for where the buggers had hidden the jack lever Called dad, he didn't know and as I was miles from home had to resort to the RAC In the mean time a lovely guy in a BMW Z3 offered to lend me his jack. Despite me mentioning that my car prob weighed 3 times his...and I was in fear for his (and his jacks) life, he insisted on giving it a go. 5 minutes of pumping away at the jack...Diahatsu listed 'slightly' springs stretched and squeaked but the wheel remained planted firmly on the floor. I just stood back and smiled as he sheepishly admitted defeat...10 outta 10 though for trying to be valiant |

HI, not sure if this is a girly moment or not. last summer I dropped into a friends house and left my dog in the car with the sun roof open and the keys in the ignition. I was gone about 10 mins and when I came back he had stood on the central locking and locked himself in. i drive a jeep so it is quite high. My friends husband offered to go up and through the sunroof. problem solved. oh, i forgot to say it was a sunday and as he is a vicar he was still in his "Sunday best". wish i had had a camera. Don't see a vicar upside down everyday |
