Rode Amelia for the first time in four months this afternoon! She was as good as gold too: we walked up and down the farm track; inspected the JCBS and diggers left from the workmen who are laying new water pipes; chivved an escaped calf back into its field; and then decided to try a few circles in trot.
She was not impressed at the concept of trot - What! Are You Kidding? It's Hot! and it was all quite an effort, but eventually got a few circles of adequate trot.
Himself walked with us for moral support, so that was nice.
Tra la, I'm baaaaaack in the saddle!

Mmm, it's particulary good too cos Easter weekend for the last 3 or 4 years has been very bad for us - injuries, accidents, illnesses etc in various animals (and me) so it felt a bit like flying in the face of providence!
But I am SOOOOO pleased to be riding again. Can't wait for tomorrow!!!
