hello Polly
What a surprise to see a name from the past.I showed my gelding against your boy at the Suffolk show in 1992 when your boy was 3rd in a class of 11. I also visited the Sky stud many times as I have owned 3 of their horses over the years. Sky Herald was the result of a mating considered to be one of the best crosses the stud ever did. He had several full siblings including Sky Hera who was Junior British National Champion at Ascot. Sky Hala was another full sister, who when crossed with the Crabbet horse, Silver Blue, produced Sky Comet who is a successful endurance horse. Sky Herald was raced successfully but sadly died soon after he was sold from the stud. Sky Crusader was a fantastic performance sire but I don't think there are any of his purebred sons currently at public stud.
Lovely to hear that "H" (as Lucy used to call him) is well & much loved.

Hi, I actually raced my horse at the same time as FH Telstar was racing and remember him well. Think it all goes back to Sky Crusader who was, as has already been said, the most fantastic performance sire. He had quite a few daughters which bred on really well so that might be a good place to start. |

OOO! thanks for all that guys, I spent the day bathing Telstaar, and as I turned him out , rugless , I really did feel that I am truley blessed with this horse. He is so special, and in time I will endeavour to find something from the same line. Moosie- I have only ever let him really go flat out once and I can honestly say it was like sitting in a jet plane, but totally safe, hope to get him fit enough to do it a bit more this year . Centau- did you show against FH Telstaar or Sky Herald, sorry got a bit confused. thanks again Polly |

Hello Polly
I showed my gelding (Scindian Ambassador) against FH Telstaar at the 1992 Suffolk County Show. The judge was Deirdre Robinson & there were eleven in the class of 2 & 3 yo pure bred colts/fillies/geldings.
