I start my new job a week today and am not sure whether to be excited or terrified. Finally getting out of what started off as a good job and is now just a lot of stress and broken promises. Handed in my weeks notice this afternoon and have never felt so relieved about anything before. It means I work either 8 - 5 or 9 - 6 and 5 days from 7. No more early mornings or late nights and since the days are getting longer I get to spend more time with Sylvie after work and on my days off. More money and better hours too.

Brilliant Lindsay, well done you. Hope your last few days at the old job are not too stressful. I know what you mean about handing in your notice, it is horrible, but you are right, you feel so elated afterwards.

| Thank you everyone for your kind words. turns out my years at university aren't going to go to waste after all. You'll all have to think of me on Monday when I'm at my induction. What I'm looking forward to the most is finally getting to tell my boss what I think of her and sending a lovely letter to head office telling them too. |
