AAARRRGGGHHH!! why don't the jeans manufacturers realize that; 1/ NOT every female wants to show her bum clevage' 2/ Some women looks AWFUL in these low rise jeans, even some skinny women 3/ SOME of us have a smaller waist than hip ratio, and these blasted jeans have to be constantly "hauled up" , a very feminine manouver , NOT 4/ Some women would like a normal pair if jeans NOT ripped and snagged, NOT with some diamonty dazzle on them, just a normal pair of jeans that "fit" . 5/ SOME of us are NOT 6,3 tall, and DO weigh more than two ounces and are NOT the same shape as MEN. Needless to say I had a totally wasted (NOT WAISTED) day trying to find the simplest piece of clothing. Give me strength.

Polly, I couldn't agree more. I don't think low rise jeans suit anyone, but does anyone make anything else these days? |

AMEN
to that.
Bon Marche do a reasonable jeans. I wear them all the time, classic leg, sits on the waist not below it and no frills. They do sizes 12 to 24.

I think M&S still do 'traditional' plain, undecorated jeans with a waist in the waist-position.
I have to confess that I rather like my pair of low-rise jeans (from Evans so they're not too low!) but I can't figure out how you're supposed to keep them up. I never see anyone else hauling them up in that wonderfully inelegant way.

A friend of mine ( who "lives" for fashion, poor girl) just called me and told me that this season we will all be wearing the new" high waisters ". Apparently THESE jeans have a really high waist , that stops just under your BRA !!!! FOR GAWDS SAKE!!! is there some git of a fashion designer somewhere, who,s lifes ambition it is ,to make us all look like Richie Rich , from "Bottom", or Simon Cowell..... Right I,m of to rant at the dogs with a large glass of rioja, if anyone sees a really annoyed woman at Sheer Versatility tomorrow, doin the " my stupid jeans are falling down wriggle ", it,ll be me . I now buy all my jeans from cheap & cheerful Mataland!!! Their own range of cheap stretch jeans (£10 or something a pair!!) are a fab fit - even for my rather fuller figure! They also look quite smart & come in different colours & cuts....& they wear & wash like a dream!!!

I prefer cords to jeans, but have had the same problem. I have a rather ample bottom and don't want to show it to all the world. Why can't we get stuff to fit, or are we just odd shaped. |

Oh don't get me started on JEANS!! I'm not big in any direction so it increases the chances of my jeans falling down...but the fact that every pair of jeans is at least 4 inch too long don't help! I have jeans that I can only wear heels with, jeans that I can only stand in, jeans I can't eat in, jeans I can't sit on my leather settee with because the buckles/studs/glittery/spangly bit will rip it to shreds! But a worse sight along with builders cracks hanging out of low rise jeans...is MUFFIN TOPS these are the young girls jammed into too small jeans, and the excess just rolls on back out over the non exsistant waistband! |

I get my jeans in the states, not only are they cheaper by miles you can get them to fit to the waist, I hate the jeans you get here, not everyone wants to show half their bloody bum |
