I decided last week that I am never going TB racing again. I will not invest a penny in this. |

It is beyond me how anyone who purports to care about horses can support racing. These deaths are the tip of the iceberg. |

It sickens me that these horses have all died in vain. Nothing will change, more will die and the "sport of Kings" will continue. All in the name of MONEY!!!
I wonder if things would change if 4 jockeys had died?
Sorry, as you can tell I don't like racing or the racing industry

It really does make you wonder - is it really worth it??? The shameful thing is that with a little forethought and care for the animals instead of the pennies, most of it could be avoided.
I quite agree, if it had been the jockeys....................
I can honestly say whenever I have watched it on TV(could never go the a course), my concern when a horse goes down is NEVER for the rider but always the horse. I feel that the rider had a choice, the horse didnt!! Sorry - on me soapbox now!!! Sandie |

last week I visited the Midlands Racehorse Rehabilitation Centre. I found it very upsetting to discover that so many are just shot when injured or not wanted. they have a lovely very fine boned TB in at the moment, he was due to shot this week as he broke down racing over hurdles.he is too fine to race over hurdles in the first place IMO He is lucky to have been rescued by the MRRC. Please have a lookat www.midlandracehorsecarecentre.org.uk
