I hope someone can help me with some crabbet bloodlines. I have a gelding who I believe to be about 95% crabbet. Sire Crown Court (Manto/Selinda), dam Diamonds Forever (St. John/Twinkling Diamonds). I know all about Manto's origins, but can find little information about the others.
I am also keen to purchase another Crabbet. She is apparently 100% crabbet. Sire El Zingaro (Blue Rainbow/Simona) dam Charmaine (Ringing Sovereign/Ringing Derida). I know that Charmaine was a successful show horse and has bred many offspring, but know nothing about the others. Am I correct in thinking that Blue Rainbow is a Blue Domino son?
Any help would be great. As a Crabbet enthusiast I would really like to find out more about the origins of my boy and the filly I am considering.

If you want to get a confirmation of your crabbets true percentage, The Crabbet Organisation provide a calculation service and parchment pedigree - if you go onto the website it gives details of this service.
There are also details on there about how to join the Crabbet Organisation if you are an enthusiast !

| Selinda is our bloodlines she is by Stargard out of Tarantella.Tarantella ,by Indian King out of Dancing Sunlight,and Stargard by Raktha out of Star Diamond basically some of the best crabbet lines around!(not that im biased of course!)We have a Selinda daughter Taretta,by Ghibli and a Selinda grandson Tarib by Ghibli again out of Tarantara (a Selinda daughter!) and their sons and daughters of course. |

| Thanks to everyone who responded to my query. It's great to know that there are so many other Crabbet enthusiasts. As an amateur who has never shown my horse (he has had 3 years of 'problems') it can be hard to discover other enthusiasts. That is, until yesterday! |

hi,
our lot all have loads of crabbet blood in them, including silver sunfire, who's mum was born at crabbet. sunny is nearly pure crabbet. there is a book called 'the crabbet arabian stud' (think thats it, i have it but not at home at the mo) there's loads about the horses they bred in it, excellent if you're an anorank like me and like to do the searching yourself.

hi ACGODFREY....i have just got my 1st arab and will use the crabbet website to do me a pedigree. im told he has some of the best crabbet breeding but to be honest 'I WOULD'NT KNOW!!. Id like to find out because he is a bit of an 'old boy' but i plan to use him so would like to find a broodmare for him next year. In the mean time i need to swat up on this breeding. |

I love a crabbet female line. I have two that have a Kazra tail female line (Kallima and Karramia) and one that has a tail female to Dajania through Nefisa and Nasra.

I have a mare who is supposed to be 97.55% crabbet..rest old english.
She is called Bint Rajina(Indian Rajah/gaynifah.
Her great grandparents are Oran/Silver Magic,,Indian magic/Rasana...Hanif/Sunset...Count Roland/Folly..
What are the opinions of you crabbet experts on her bloodlines (she is liver chestnut. I would be interested to know.

I'm waiting on a certification from the crabbet site for my boy, as i would love to know how much he is.
He's by Sheikh Damas(King Cotton Gold--Sherilla)
Out of Egyptian Rose (Amaziah-Shah--Rose of Argosy)
He was bred by Mrs A M F Howard, Devon. Does any one know of her?

| Sasha your horse is beautifully bred,a lovely combination of crabbet /old English and you have Hanif in there too which makes it doubly special i ve met Hanif and he was amazing(we have a daughter of his out of a mare of Count Roland bloodlines,WONDERFUL!!! |

Marbon Mansour is 100% Crabbet. Lovely blood lines. I don't know heaps about bloodlines but he is the best horse ever............but I am biassed!!( how do you spell it!!)

Libby - Fancy the crabbet convention cat. being wrong. It's only because Stargard is my foundation mares g.father!!!!!
Michelle - your Kazra female line - presume Mikeno x Razehra, bred by the Abel Smiths - descends to Nuhra - Desert bred and I don't think Crabbet female line - SORRY. Still a fantastic female line - we also have that as another foundation line in our stud. RAQISA (Sorbus x Raqqasa) 2nd at AHS Ascot - many years ago.
