I recently said in the forum I had lost my 28year old Anglo Arab after owning him for 18 years. I decided I wanted another Anglo for many reasons. Friends think its because I want to replace my old boy. I want him to have a successor.I feel he taught me so much and I sort of owe it to him. He had ways which I think were characteristic of his breed, which I loved. I can't ever see myself with say an Irish Draught as nice as they are. What does everyone think? Are there any Anglo owners out there? Also, why is it so difficult to find an Anglo whcih has done ridden showing and/or dressage. I would never have parted with my boy. Is that the reason. No one can bear to part with them!
Would love to get your opinions on this topic

Hi Stella

I think you should have what you want to have.

I have just lost my stallion who was a pure bred and I will never replace him but I shall have other pure breds.

Go for it girl

Hi Stella,

I agree with NatH. If that is what you want, then that is what you should get.

Although saying that, I was initially looking for a pure bred mare and ended up purchasing an anglo mare (the grey in my signature). I am so pleased that I didn't dismiss the fact that she was Anglo. She is a real sweetie. I have only just started her training but I am hoping that she will be an all rounder.

There are a couple of Anglo's in the for sale section....

Good luck in your search.
