I was just wondering how I could set something like this up. A bit like a ramblers association for horse riders, sharing information and routes. I am not talking about long distances or anything just your usually if you go down there and turn right it will take you about an hour sort of ride
I am lucky that I do have offroad riding from my front door but sometimes you get sick of riding the same places.
If I discover a new ride I try and let other people know and I am quite happy to trailer my horses a short distance to be able to ride somewhere different but have often been disapointed to find unsuitable tracks or in most cases silly barriers at the end of a bridle way you know the ones you have no option to jump that are placed 3 feet from the main road.
Are there any other Aliners in or around Durham that have any rides they know about.

I would like to set up a website giving ride info in my area as I have access to fabulous off road riding, and many of the rides I know are ones I have found over the last 10years of riding in the area. I would also like to be able to include some local history/area info as there are old iron works, fossil beds, etc scattered all over May be one day I will get the chance to do something but with a little one on the way don't think it will be any time soon |

Hi Anne,
I live in Guisborough (1hr to York: 1 hr to Newcastle), on the edge of the North York Moors, near Middlesbrough (technically its Cleveland but there isn't a cleveland in the location option) We have fab riding round us, we have extensive woodland on the cleveland hills and beyond that the open moors You can ride for hrs each day and not do the same ride twice...I can't wait to get back in the saddle again |

Hi Anne,
Sorry not been able to get online all weekend I haven't got the email not sure if the link works on my profile (temawain@aol.com)
I'd love to meet up for a ride, but my neddy is unfit at the moment as I haven't ridden since August (head butt wall icon) as hubby band me when we found out that I was pregnant, but hopefully once summer arrives I'll be let out again and I can get my little lady fit again Although I have one problem, I don't have transport, but if you fancy a ride along the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors your more than welcome to visit
