sorry folks - even though its a "good cause" we cant allow links to adverts on other commercial sites - it isn't fair on our "paying" advertisers

Price is a bit steep, isn't it? Do you think it is an error? |

It's not the grey arab, it's the bay a few horses further down the list. £750. Is that expensive for what he is? |

I think there was a thread about him - his owner was asking advice regarding his biting (apologies if I have a completely different horse in mind) |

Has anyone seen Narada on there. I cant post the link but its under the 15.1h and above section, been ruined by a novice trying to break him in. I think thats such a shame and really annoys me when you have no all no nothing people.

Zan, glad to hear that the "biter" is no longer and in a good home. It's nice to know |

I was the owner of the biting arab and felt the need to reply to this post. I have had arabs before, including youngsters, with no problems at all. The horse I had was clearly not happy for some reason and in my situation I couldn't help him any further, having had blood tests, back & saddle checked, tried him with more work, less work, varying the work he was doing, a small yard, a busier yard, different amounts of turnout and even an animal communicator. Surely it was better to sell him to a nice home than for me to keep him where he wasn't happy? Surely it's better for these other people to accept that they aren't the right owners for the horses and allow someone else to take them on? We all make mistakes and buying the right horse is not an easy thing to do, it's far more difficult to accept that you made a mistake and do something about it.
ETA I have emailed project horses many times to take my advert off but they don't seem to be interested! |

Tapir, I think you were very unselfish in selling your horse. As you say, he obviously wasn't happy and you did all that you could. Not everyone gets on with their horse and sometimes a certain combination of horse and owner doesn't fit together. It isn't easy when buying a horse and unless you are lucky to have a trial period, you never know how the horse is going to be when you get it home.
I have never sold a horse but respect you for making a descision that was obviously so right for you and your horse. |

And Tapir it was great that you were so honest in your advert as a lot of people would have just sold it on without saying there was a problem so good for you. |

Tapir - just to say that I run Project Horses, and if we receive emails telling us that an advert is no longer needed, we do remove it on our next update, which is usually every two to three days (if not daily). If you have sent us many emails, and your advert is still up, chances are we haven't received your emails! We most definitely ARE interested in keeping the site current. If your advert is still up, please pm me on here, or email me on my private email address: varkie@lycos.co.uk and I will sort this out. |
