Ok, I'm not a new owner but I didn't know where else to put this. I've had my boy 'Jason' for nearly 12 years, we bought him from a dealer's yard in Liverpool and we know NOTHING about his past or breeding or anything, although we were told that he was from Wales. The AHS can't help me with nothing to go on, but I'm really curious about his breeding. I've had some judges and random people asked me about it as he looks like so and so and I just don't know.
Anyway, he's around 21ish, almost 15hh chestnut with 3 socks. He is Freezemarked 76AG (they can't help either).
I don't have many good pics on the computer but here's a couple:
thats probably about a year after we got him.
I know I probably wont get anything but I thought I'd try :D
ETA: has anyone any other horse marked with a 76A....tell us where you are please....

Whoever his antecedents were, he's a very nice looking boy! Hope someone recognises him. |

Do you know if its a Farmkey freezemark, and was it there when you bought him 12 years ago, and have you writen to the previous owner/person/or who got him marked, through Farmkey. There is a limit to the information they are able to convey to you due to Data Protection, so you will need the previous owners OK, before they can pass it on... I believe, the Freezemark will identify to an area, and you may be able to get other owners with similar marks, to tell you what part of the country they are in, and you may be able to track down the local freezemark person, Try posting the Number and asking for info in Your Title... The person in charge at Farmkey 12 years ago was based in Banbury and set up the process, and is now running the 'other'Freezemark Company from the same area...The police can usually get this information.. and was the dealer able to help at all... |

Thank you kofihorse, I think he's lovely even if he seems to be non existant before I got him :P
Rozy Rider, its a Farmkey freezemark, I've paid to have a message sent to his last registered owners but I didn't hear anything back they said that was all they could do. The dealer wasn't helpful at all but I don't think she knew much anyway, my mum bought him the first day he was there anyway.. The bit about the Freezemark identifying him to an area is interesting though, I'll try and get back onto that. Thanks |

I did email you re your horse and have taken the picture over to my friend who is desperately trying to find a photo of Omani. Weare 50% sure that it is him but need to be sure. It is such a long time ago that she sold him that it is difficult to remember his exact markings. I do remember him being a lightish chestnut and with quite a lot of white. |

Fingers Crossed it's Omari, If you think its this horse you can ask Farmkey to confirm his marking on the diagram completed on the day he was branded by the operator, who branded him. Good Luck, keep us posted...

I never received the email and what a shame that it is not Omani. Goodluck in your search. I have not had any luck with my three either. |

Tamila- I was gutted, I had my fingers crossed (as did my mum and sisters) but I knew really it wouldn't be him.. that would've been far too easy. Good luck in your continued search as well. |

The paperwork wasn't handed on and he is now registered to me but only in the last couple of years..(I thought my mum had done it, she thought my sister had done it.. blah blah. no one did it!) I have spoken to Farmkey numerous times, all they could do was take my details and get intouch with his last registered owner and see what happened from there. All that did happen was me spending £15 to be told a letter had been passed on... nothing came from it. |

I know it is a long shot but would DNA help.
I am also looking for info about a chestnut stallion ?? gelding now.He would be 21yrs old was sold to a dealer we think but down here in the south unless the dealer was from the north.
Wouldn't it be funny if it was your boy.

I *think* DNA would only be useful if I had an idea of who he was/ who he was related to. As I have absolutely no idea then I don't think I can use it :( |

I'd still like to know what Farmkey said about the previous registered owner and if you have written and sent a letter to Farmkey to be passed to that last owner.. |

Farmkey told me nothing about his previous owner (and I mean NOTHING!), all I could do was pay my £15 and send my home and email address and telephone number and they'd pass it on to whoever he was last registered to. |

Can you remember who you spoke to at Farmkey and when...I think you should write to the previous owner and add SAE and ask Farmkey to send it to the last registered owner..then maybe youll get a reply....I know it's difficult because of the Data Prot. but give it a go.... |
