Freddie didn't touch his feed last night and refused to eat his breakfast this morning so I think the decision I have been trying to make has been taken out of my hands - Probably a typical example of "whats really good for you and contains no additives or preservatives tastes like !!****!!" Still I have to commend him for his perseverance, he stuck with it for over a year! I think he just got fed up with a bucket of mush and although I tried to make it less wet, he has just had enough!! - Bless Him

I only bought a bag of blue grass nuts. My girl ate them at first and now won't touch them, soaked or unsoaked. I started feeding them to the goat and even she is now going off them. Hmmmmmmmmm..... I guess if us humans always ate what was 'good for us'we'd get bored too. imagine chips without salt or vinegar (or mayonaise..mmmmm)

When I bought my mare in the summer, I bought SS Lucie Nuts and Total Eclipse

she refused to touch it

I refused to give up as it was soooooo expensive (and is good for her!!)

I put into the liquidiser apple, garlic and mint and then used this mixture to soak the nuts - it worked ! she would eat it - although only in small quantities (as it was summer wasn't worried)

Now it is winter and she needs more than just grass, she will readily eat large quantities - without the apple/garlic/mint mixture.
