Gold Rex was a very beautiful stallion and was owned at one time by Tina Cooke of Stourvale Stud in Dorset. I have in my field a Gold Rex daughter out of Roxanya who is now 26 years old. She actually belongs to Sue Lea of Shamnar Arabians in Chobham, Surrey. Roxina Gold is keeping her half-sister Roxaana company.
Gold Rex spent the last years with Pat Coward in Cornwall. I never saw him but loved his breeding although he tended to be a little bit highly strung.
He was bred by Mrs Murray in 1960 and was by Alexus (GSB) out of Gleaming Gold (GSB). He sired 71 offspring between 1966 and 1983.
Thank you for the information. Any other information would be most appreciated. It is strange that I can not find any information on recent bloodlines but there is lots of information further back.
