Hi all,
have been reading the forum with interest for some time and was finally registered today. Have not been a horse owner for a few years, although that took a lot of effort I can tell you! Finally caved in and am now owned by a 13yr old arab stallion, Prince of Lightning (Merely a Whisper - Esta Espashan) - love at first sight.

Just wondering about his breeding, I know a tiny bit about the Polish lines as my previous Arab was mostly Polish - related to this one and I think I fell in love because he reminds me of Nobella who was so utterly utterly gorgeous. Have no real idea about the other lines tho and by browsing thru this forum there is no better place to go seen as you all seem to be fountains of knowledge.
Looking forward to being part of the Arab world again - my OH is not impressed with my choice of breed...lol to him only TBs are worth having seen as he's an ex-jockey - so interesting times on all fronts ahead

Hi Lena,
I used to work at Jadem Arabians were Sadika was staying for a while before she went to the UK. She was a very lovely mare, nice head and sweet character, although a bit nervous. I always thought that came from her moving from owner to owner the whole time. I do not have any pictures unfortunately.

| I had a lovely surprise Christmas present from my family which they managed to organise and keep secret from me for several weeks - a portrait of Sadika done by artist Paula Fenton - it's of her head/neck and part of her body and she's wearing the Princess Muna Saddle of Honour - it is absolutely lovely. |

And I have a lovely picture of Azrak, but it comes from the Gillian Lancaster collection so I have to ask her if I can post it, it is a black and white one. Let me remind all of you that Gillian has the copy rights and the photo's from the AHS at her home, I am sure if you give her a call she will let you rumble through them. Do you all have the book 40 years of champions by Deidre Hyde, lots of old pics in there too, who come from Gillian's collection. Monique
