HI, sorry taken a while to get on top of this one ! Ivanah was bred by us, by our leading stallion Maleik el Kheil. Maleik was Supreme Male Champion at Ascot as a yearling colt, and the same year the first World Champion colt and the highest score of the show. He was Supreme Male again at the Nations Cup, that year held in Stockholm. He was six times leading sire in the UK, the Lady Anne Lytton Trophy, a record number of wins since the trophy was first given. He was a particularly good broodmare sire also. He was a very pretty headed stallion with a super short strong back and a rather short neck. Excellent kind character and very obliging.
Ivernia was also bred by us, and was Reserve Champion filly in Aachen at the nations Cup (beating Atlantica, the three year old winner). She was sold to Germnay and had a very extreme head for her time. She is straight Spanish, by a stallion we imported Barif, who was also reserve Champion at the Nations Cup, that time in Ascot. Barif was sold to Paolo Gucci. Barif and Ivernia were both tall and 'on the leg' and long in the neck. (but also a bit straight in the shoulder and short in the hip) Ivernia's dam was also a homebred, Ionia, a fat little white mare who was never shown and bred very few foals. Her dam Icara was imported from the Spanish State Stud and was a half sister to one of their cornerstone sires Galero. |

Mindymoo, I'm just about getting the hang of it,you need to register with Photobucket or one of the others, load your pic's there and then transfer then accross. Alternatively, if you can email the pic to someone else (unrestricked size) so they can stick them on for you....I'll have a go if you want to email them to me(rosyrider@dsl.pipex.com)..good luck..Sue |
