Oh, that's so horrific!!! And only a few minutes down the road from where we are... People do drive like maniacs on the country roades around here and being on a spooky horse I'm always very weary, but even if you try to signal if you have a problem people sometimes just swishes past really close doing a hundred miles an hour

Two of my horses, Rosa and Zan, have been as close to bombproof as you can get. Samantha wasn't and Zaharoff, who I ride now, is so spooky he is scared of his own shadow.I had so many close shaves riding the bombproofs that we survived entirely thanks to them, I am beginning to think I should just keep off the roads altogether with Zaharoff---not easy where I live with no bridle paths. A lot of drivers are just terrible and some just refuse to slow down---i already described a road rage incident with one on another thread.
My heart goes out to that poor injured woman who has lost her horse so tragically.
