I'm new to this forum but I notice from an old message on here that you use to look after a horse called Amach. He is the sire of my Arab, I would be most grateful if you could tell me what you know about Amach as I would love to know what he was like etc, all I know is that he was a grey!
Hi Sorry it has taken me so long to reply. Haven't logged in for ages! Amach!!
Well he was a steel grey when I knew him. I first rode him when he was 3 and had just come into training, he certainly kept me on my toes. He was a well put together colt with a fantastic amount of natural muscle for an unfit horse. I think he was around 15 - 15.1h and by Amal out of Emucha (very good breeding then). He raced and was fairly successful. I rode him again about 7 years ago for 6 months to bring him back into work and he seemed to have calmed down. He was not one of my favoutites if I am honest (he could be quite erratic), but he was wonderful to look at. I think he did a bit of in hand before he raced. He was owned by one of the big trainers of the time (Karen Seers) at Broadacres Stud in Sussex. I think she's in London now. He was her pride and joy.
I have some pictures of him when he was in training, so if I can get to a scanner i'll see what I can do. What is your boy like? Any pictures, it would be great to see and Amach baby.
