I don't know of any suppliers stocking them, but our local saddlery shop makes them and they are brilliant. He charges approx. £80 for arab sizes and they are well made and last. It is called CHINGS and if it is any help i can give you his phone number. He is based in Devon but could send them to you?

Around 20 years ago I was in the kitchen of a showjumping yard which also had a stallion and a couple of broodmares. In rushes one of the grooms and asks "Where are the covering boots?", the lady of the house paused, thought a moment and replied "I don't know but the last time I saw them, my husband was wearing them!" Strange things horse folk Seriously though I would be interested in the phone number too.

Very funny that Mike, brings some strange images to mind
I thought i saw some in Robinsons catalogue, Have to check and see
I am not too keen on them personally after a very frightening panic attack off one of my quietest most level headed mares ever. They frightened her to death for some reason, she went bolistic. Completely trashed them trying to get them off and squashed us in the process
But they are an excellent idea really......

Lizzie, our friend Sarah Bailey has them, just wondering, if we can list her phone number, so people can compare prices ? Every $ (pound, that is) saved, buys more Oats, sigh... Christine.

OOOPS.... when mine broke, I took pieces of leather, folded them up, taped them to the bottom of the hoofs with duck tape and put several big pairs of Dick's heavy wool socks (for f #%^$'s sake, don't tell) over the whole contraption, more duck tape, works great - saves alot of money ! Christine - always the mother of invention.
