Does anyone know where i can purchase the book "The complete pedigree of Arabians from Russia" 1790 - 1992 & "Pure breds of the Tersk Stud Russia" 1985 - 1992 written by Wojciech Kwiatkoski. Also Dam "Lines of Tersk" by Zodiac Frams. Would like to do a bit of research on pedigrees.
Many Thanks

Meant to say I have obtained latest Russian Stud Books Vols Vll and Vlll so if you are stuck on any let me know. Mind you they are so behind only up to the early 90s. Try www.pedigreequery.com it is a great source - not always up to date but will help you in your research.
Happy hunting

hi, a snippit from the preface- This book explains why the arabian horse was chosen for the purpose of upgrading native russian horses.A study of the breeding of many russian horse breeds today illustrates that this purpose was fulfilled. Athough much has changed during the last 80 years in russia, a visitor to the tersk stud in the caucasus can easily identify snake mountain shown in the background of several photos in this book. this was the original home of the stroganov stud. This unusual and interesting book gives a contempory view of arabian horses, desert tribes and social conditions, yet, because it has never before been translated from the russian language, it is completely unknown to almost all modern breeders. Book complements the work of the blunts, upton, tweedie, brown and lady wentworth. kirsty.
