I thought it was about time I said a big HELLO to everyone, what a brilliant site this is!!! I have been reading all the threads since January but have only just managed to get broadband!!! Dial-up is sooo slow and expensive. Just to let you all know a bit about myself: I live on a livestock farm in rural Herts, have an OH, 2 sons aged 11 and 9, a multitude of sheep, a working collie and most importantly of all 8 purebreds!! I have been owned by my arabians for the last 18 years and, happily they have been breeding for me for the last 17. The horses are: Zeyn (Marawan x Feadora) 1986 bay stallion, El Lushiaa (El Tezran x Bint Ludoet) 1985 grey mare, Tahir bint Maleika (Zeyn x Queen Yasimet) 1997 bay mare, Darmouna (Sheikh Mamoud x Dancing Darjeela) 1995 grey mare, Azka el Nil (Taj el Nil x Bint Ashara) 1998 grey mare, Kyrashara (Taj el Nil x Bint Ashara) 1999 bay mare, "Trinity" (Taj el Nil x Darmouna) 2006 grey filly, "Gerry" (Zeyn x Azka el Nil) 2006 chestnut colt. I hope I haven't bored you all!!! I must say that I have laughed and cried with you all over the last few months and am now looking forward to joining in.

Thanks for the lovely welcome guys!!! suzanne, I'm so glad to hear there's some Marawan blood alive and thriving, he was so special. zara, I hope I get lots of time to enjoy this site cos I've really enjoyed reading the threads. jilly, I am so lucky to have 8 wonderful horses, I count my blessings every day! I rode my stallion up until 2 years ago and had to stop due to my knee injury. I'm hoping now to help my neighbour start riding some of my mares as they are a bit wasted just breeding!! What wonderful riding horses Arabs are, really miss the riding bit but keep myself buzy starting horses from the ground, especially youngsters - so responsive and intelligent. |

Welcome Carla, I am glad you have decided to join us all. Everyone is so friendly. This site is very compulsive though, and a huge timewaster, but we would not have it any other way. Nicky |

Welcome! This is a very friendly forum - lots of help and support, no bitching or mud-slinging.
Lucky you to have all those horses! Have you any photos of them? We'd all love to see them. |

It looks like I'm gonna have to get myself up in the loft to get some piccies for you, we put the photos away when we decorated last year and my digi camera has just broken. Will do the best I can but I haven't got a clue how to post them on here. I had temporarily forgotten that Taj had a younger brother, you're right pat, it is a small world. What do you do with him, is he gelded or entire? Taj is living the life of riley in Lincs at the moment. |

Hasnt he always lived the life of Riley
Yes Taklimakan is gelded, he wasnt stallion material, but hes one of the lights of my life. Hes by Pakistan. I do a few PRs, a bit of dressage, love hacking, and we are hopefully doing the costume class at malvern. If I dont bottle out.
I need to get down to it,we have been so busy with our show next sunday, and theres only three weeks.
Send me an email and I will send a photo back. My emails on my profile under all the information bumpff.
We also have BC,s in common too. I have three, and a cross.. Love em!! |

Welcome to the site, lots of nice people here. I was hoping to meet a few of them at Malvern but with two foals due that weekend doubt I will make it this year, very bad planning!
