Sly showing off his new booties! They are the new Old Mac G2's & so far I'm very impresed with them! Hes just back in work after having been offf work for a while & at the moment is unshod - hence the boots.

He seems to really like the boots - I'm also using them on Rowan, Rufus & Ginger (of course she has to have small feet so had to buy another set just for her!) & they are all OK with them & move really well! I'm going to have Amigos shoes off & try him in boots - he really feels the stones even though hes not flat footed - I was thinking of having to have pads on - but will try the boots first!
Debbie - will keep you posted & I've got a good contact for the boots - the best price I've found! |

Let me know if you want contact details!
I'm selling the set of Easyboot Epics on ebay that I bought for Rufus - didn't like them - only used for 1/2 hr & typically they don't fit the other neddies!!! |

Judith I think your supplier is the same as mine
I got a set of G2s for the in between times too (ie ground is too hard for lots of work with no shoes, but not quite doing enough for shoes). I'm quite chuffed with them, and they are a vast improvement on the old Old Macs, which were also good - we've used them for Joe for years. Both Harry and Spider moved out really well in the G2s and there wasn't any rubbing. Only downside was that Spider had the most horrendous allergic reaction to the neoprene on his wussy pink skin the following day, so we had to get him shod again. |

Now I thought Kerry would have some "pink" fluffy socks for Spider
I'm impressed with the boots - so far! They are a lot more refined that the origianls that I have seen!

Nice pics - I'm more interested in the saddle than the boots though. It looks very nice - what make is it? I'm having terrible problems fitting a saddle for my mare and yours looks very comfy.

Boots! Rode Sly out for about three hrs today (longest hes had the boots on) - went through the river, very rough tracks in the forestry, lanes, fields & mud (yes - we've had lots of rain!) - so lots of possibilities for rubbing with mud & grit from wading out of the river! I almost didn't want to take the boots of as I was sure the thin skinned grey thing would have rubs....but no - nothing at all - I was amazed |

Hi Judith - I don't know anything about these saddles and would like to know more - it looks lovely. I ride western but am having problems with western saddles on my mare and am looking for other options - could you let me have some more details or I could check out websites if you could tell me who makes/ stocks them. Or maybe you could e.mail me lowndes@homecall.co.uk - thanks Trudi |

Hi Judith, Did you get my PM? I was wondering where you got your boots and do they come with pastern wraps? Are they sold in pairs - the mare we've got on loan has one foot substantially smaller than the other and we need two different sizes for her fronts, plus I'd like top try them on Az when he starts back in work cos his feet are narrower than they are long so think the G2's would fit him better than the Epics. How's the grip on short welsh grass? They look to have a better tred pattern than the Epics - Bond had to dremel a new tred on mine to give us more grip!! Cheers, Kaz |
