Hi,
Can anyone recommend a company for trailer insurance. I am currently with Equestrian Direct and my premium has now gone up to £170 per year, which I think is rather expensive.
I have an Ifor 505 which I had from new. Its now three years old. Anyone else got one that has cheaper insurance?
Many thanks.

I asked the same question a while back and Scotish Equestrian was recommended to me. I pay £131 per year my trailer is insured for £4,000. I was the best I could find |

Thanks for that, have called them and they came in at £96.87. How cheap is that?
I called my ins company and gave them the opportunity to reduce their premium and they had the cheek to tell me that they were already competitive. I had to advise them that after contacting three other companies they were the most expensive.
They were quite happy for me to cancel the renewal
oh well, saved myself some money so going to pop out and spend the savings |

I also use the NFU. Think it is about £50/£55. Trailer is an Ifor Williams 505R and is insured for a value of £2500. Not possible to insure just the trailer though - has to be an addition to a motor policy. However as well as saving us money on the trailer insurance (which was previously around £100) they were also cheaper on the Fourtrak. Definitely worth giving them a ring.
