Sorry, I realise this probably should not be in this particular forum but I thought I'd sneak in just in case not all of you read the bit about tracing horses. I have a registered mare by G.Loventure but had never met him myself. The last I heard about him was that he was rescued by the RSPCA approx 6 years ago. His owner was banned from keeping horses for life. I would love to know that he is in one piece and if anyone has any pics of him I would be so grateful. If you know of him and his new owners please could you pass on my email address: wm423351@uea.ac.uk.
Many thanks,
Peggy Postma

Hi, Is he called G Loventura? I'll have to check all my stuff but I believe he's a 'half brother' to my boy G Lanzelot. He's out of Lalique (see New Arrivals section - Lalique has a Filly!) and probably by Peleng if my memory serves me correctly. They were part of a string of four foals Lalique had while at the Gucci stud. My Lance is by Andrus who was also a Gucci stallion who was reserve world champion. Lalique herself has won the Horse of the Year Show Ridden Mares and been second on at least one other occasion. I've always wondered what happened to G Loventura (or Loventure) as nothing much was heard of him, while G Lalita (actually she might have been the one by Peleng) was bought by Sue Bundy who writes as SueB on Arabian Lines. She has since been sold on I think. If you're lucky your boy will have inherited Lalique's beauty, lovely temprament and real trainability. I will try to dig up more. I can't tell you anything about his recent history. |

Thanks so much Roseanne,
Yes, he is definitely called G. Loventure and is by Lalique and Vololej (what a combination) so I hope that helps... I have also been in touch with the AHS about him, but all they know is the info I have and they suggested getting back in touch with the RSPCA to see if he was rehomed.
Thanks so much for your reply and I await any other news eagerly!

Hi Peggy, I could be totally wrong, it has been known, but I think G Loventure is or was owned by Dianne Ellis who occasionally posts on here as does her daughter, so you could be in luck. |

I'd be fascinated to see a picture of him. Lance is looking very like Lalique, but also like Andrus, (no surprises there then!) and is rapidly becoming very flea bitten. He is 15.2 or 3 and extremely comfortable to ride. Is Loventure ridden and still entire? |

Hi Roseanne,
I'd love to see a picture of your boy if you can post it. I don't know if Loventure is still entire or if he is still alive even. I know that some of the horses in that herd were in a terrible condition. On a brighter note, I have only been riding my mare since last autumn and she is just amazing. She learns at such a rate and seems to be really enjoying her work. She is very comfy like you say your boy is and has fabulous hock action. What do you do with your chap? I'm very much into dressage and am hoping to get her out to her first parties this summer.
Will try and get some pics of my girl this weekend and download them.

Hi Peggy,
I'm Paula, Di Ellis's daughter. We don't own Loventure, but we own his son Marbon Momenture. The lady who owned Loventure before they were taken away, had one of our mares on loan and covered her with Loventure. We picked her up soon after that and she had Mo. I think Mo is his only son, because he has been gelded now - I have a feeling my mum knows where he is, you can email her at marbonarabians@yahoo.co.uk or call her on 01373 831269. She loves talking about horses at any time of day, so don't hesitate to ring.
Our Boy Marbon Momenture has just been gelded (we tried to sell him as Stallion but no interest.) He did have some foals before he was gelded though, although his own son has now been gelded too. You may have seen Mo at Malvern and Towerlands, he is 7 now, but was shown successfully as a youngster by Dean Ingram and Russell Jones. At the moment he is in a professional yard near Malvern where he is being schooled ready to sell. The lady that has him thinks he has great potential as a ridden gelding and I hope we can find the right person for him soon.

Ditto, I'd love to see him and if he's like his half bro!! I don't remember how to post pics here or I could put one on of Lance. I did manage to get one on the thread about Russian Related horses (on discussion) but I can't find it. I think it's disappeared into the archives! |
