Three Generations British Bred 1st Binley Ishara and 2nd Mareschal who was an absolute star with me showing for the first time.
Pure Bred Arabian Crabbet Class: 1st Mareschal in a very large class- not sure of the others but a pretty grey mare - I think Sariah's Sasha was 2nd.
Sorry not sure of the other missing classes as we had to go - my husband had not slept since Thursday night - but I was really chuffed. I know Marescal is not everyones cup of tea but for a 24 yr old stallion who has been covering every day for the last two weeks I think he did himself, and us, proud.

Good morning
Congratulations Denise for yesterday
Also, I would like to congratulate Lauren Young, who showed her mare Agonia into 2nd place and it was Lauren's first time in the show ring.
Metz(Metelica) was fab, bless her, she really enjoyed herself and it was fantastic that she won the Supreme Championship. Whenever we bring the horsebox into the yard she bangs and bangs on her stable door to make sure we don't forget to take her with us.
All Metz ever wants to do is party or eat. And I can't see anything wrong in that!!! |

Hey Wizzy, Got pang of excitement to hear of my favorite Russian mare! Give Metzi a big hug from me and I hope she comes back to us one day. Perhaps she can learn a little French. Best wishes, Jenni and the blonde gang (they loved her too!!)

Hi Jenni and the Gang! Good to hear from you. Tried to give Metzi a hug from you today but she was feeling too superior for slushy stuff Also, she was eating . I'll have to wait till she's come down to earth a bit. And full up . She'll still have to give you your grey version one day!!
Congratulations to all who did well yesterday and it was great to see how well filled the Crabbet classes were. |

Hi,
I was just reflecting on a lovely day yesterday, we were so lucky to have quite a strong breeze, so that despite the sunshine that we're only just getting used to, it wasn't unbearably hot and the horses on the showground in lorries and trailers seemed fine. However, I'd like to give a vote of thanks from all of us to the organisers, stewards, DC's and Judges and various other helpers, who had to stand out in the sun for most of the day, wearing smart, formal, hot clothes (and hats) and who couldn't escape into the shade or strip off into a pair of shorts and t-shirt. We're all extremely fortunate to have these volunteers whose hard work we all benefit from and who mostly don't get the appreciation they deserve. |

It was a great day at wessex and despite the heat the ridden horses did well. I am delighted to say my boy, Plumbum, was Novice Champion again. Here are the results from memory - sorry if I have missed people but it is a juggling act keeping up with what is going on. Well done to the ridden judges who must have been baking having to ride everything in the heat.
Novice Ridden Stallions 1st Plumbum 2nd Egatist 3rd ??
Novice Ridden Mares 1st TR Coco Channel 2nd?? 3rd??
Novice Geldings??

Hi,
What a succesful show for everyone - congratulations!
Many congrats to Caroline and Metz - she looked simply incredible. Also thankyou so much for all the help you gave me, it really paid off!
Thanks I was terribly nervous but had such a super time and have definately been bitten by the bug now! It really helped that Agonia knew what she was doing and I'm sure she helped me out! Although there was an embarassing moment when it came to being called into line... Sorry Caroline! |

Wow, well done sarah, sounds like you had a fab day! You'll need a bigger box to cart around all that silverware soon! glad that all the hard work is paying off.
Congratulations also to Lauren and Agonia, I remember her from wizzys in January strutting her stuff, I bet you are over the moon!
Hope to see you all out at South East show on Saturday, Louise |
