Hi, I have a Vadeer son, Ley Lader (aka 'Rooster) there are a couple of pics of him in the photo gallery under my name. He is a totally different type of arab to my Carmargue son, El Carmaal. Hoping to do endurance with him. He has shown an aptitude for jumping and has an impressive buck (hence the fearless young friend jumping him in the picture) Helen |

Hi again, I have just uploaded another picture of Ley Lader for anyone who is interested. He hardly looks like an arab at all, totally different to my Carmargue son, El Carmaal, who looks as you'd expect an arab to look. I think he going to turn out to be a very versatile horse and has a super temperament. |

Anyone interested - Vadeer was sold to the Arabs at the Tattersall sales for vast amounts of money. He is a big grey horse, raced very successfully here and in Dubai and has been used extensively at stud. There are quite a lot of his offspring around now racing and probably doing other things as well. I saw him win at Taunton once.I think his stud fee is pretty hefty!! |

Sue, just checked as I have the old catalogue still. It was, in fact July 1993 when Vadeer was sold at Tattersalls as a 4 year old. He then went on to race in this country and later in, I think, Dubai, before going to stud and being used extensively as a race sire but,of course there now quite a few of his offspring popping up in other disciplines. |

There's plenty of info on Vadeer and his achievements and stocks achievements mostly racing in the Racing section on this site, check out Arabian Race Stallion review. HH Sheikh Mohammed owns him and he stands at public stud in Wiltshire at Larkinglass Farm (formerly Conkwell) contact Liz Harrington. If you need the number e-mail me.
His stud fee is about £500 he won nearly £80,000 in Uk & UAE and has had winners racing in UK, UAE, France and USA. He was one of the last straight Russians to be able to hold his own in Group co. with the French breds. His stock seem athletic and very intelligent and most of them have his head!
He is now proving himself as broodmare sire. His daughter Simooma won the Breeders Cup in UK and has now bred several winners including Tarfih, Mutarsed and Markoom - the latter won a big handicap on Dubai day this year!
