Brenda
Thank you for your lovely words about our daughter Evie showing the yearling. Evie is only 11 and this was Zizi's first ever show (hence the woolly coat!!). It was only the second time she has travelled in the trailer and then we got stuck for 4 hours when the M6 was shut.
Both Zizi and our PB yearling colt, Theo (who was also only travelling for the fourth time) were really well behaved and we achieved everything we wanted - a safe trip with no bad experiences and it was so lovely to see Evie and Zizi (I must admit I filled up!)
Nick, I appreciate your comments about things running late but we are really glad that they did! After being stuck on the motorway it would have been horrible to arrive after everything had finished. At least when you left - it was your choice, we were just stuck!
The judge was superb and made every effort to speed things up whilst being fair and making everyone feel valued.
A special thanks to the stewards (especially Mr Knott) who kept things moving and who offered Evie help when she tripped because of her ankle injury. We really do thank you for the support you gave Evie (and she sends a big thank you as well).
From our perspective - a really good show and thanks to everyone who organised it. We got home late and tired but very happy for a safe outing and the first rung on the learning ladder.
Zizi and Theo have slept most of today.........(wish we had but we were lambing and show jumping!) |

Nick,
sorry our show has left you with a sour taste in your mouth.
Organising a show is diffucult, you can only access the needs from the previous years statistics. This is the members money we use, and we spend it wisely.
As regards stabling, only 15 were available, because all the resident horses do not go home during easter. They are always sold on a first come first served basis. No exceptions. So, if you intend to come to the summer show, and I really hope you do, where 50 plus stables are available, send me your entry on time, and you are almost sure of getting them. Send it earlier, and I can guarantee you getting them.
I will finish by saying the judge was really pleased with the quality of the horses forward, and she gave especially the novice ridden horses, a really positive experience, for them to go home and think about. So a HUGE THANKYOU, to Fiona, Alec and Paul, you did a wonderful job for us, and we appreciate your kind comments Fiona, re; our group, ETC.
Thankyou competitors for bringing your horses forward, and we will try to GET THE TIMETABLE RUNNING SMOOTHLY NEXT TIME |

Ok thanks Jayne, right the front page opens but there is a message box in front of it that says "click to run an active x ...something or other... I tried clicking the box and cancelling the box but both result in "microsoft explorer has encountered a prob and needs to shut down" then does exactly that... shuts down... blowed if I know. |
