Monitor was a prolific inhand winner - didn't see much of him under saddle. He is an AHS premium stallion and has been NASTA performance tested. Can't really tell you much more though! |

Monitor is by Nimroz out of Matritsa - if I remember rightly, this is polish and russian bloodlines.
Nimroz is by Moment who is the sire of Grand - who is turn the sire of Toman - Lovely Chestnut boy bred at Al Waha - he won a heack of a lot under saddle last year. Matritsa is out of Monogramma - who is also the dam of Mamluk and Monogram, both pretty well known sires too |

this is probably bit late and not much anyway, but reading through back issue of AHS (1993) there is an advert for Monitor. He appeared to be with people called Gloria and Tom Hudson nr Humberside (phone no 01430 423905) of Cavewood Arabians and was just about to return from a breeding season in Holland with Rene and Diane Tromp. There is another no on the advert for Natalie Fox on 01430 421127. Might be worth a ring to get a bit more history.

Cavewood grange stud i believe closed long ago as its only 20 min from me, one of my suppliers for the business are next door to them, its a really nice place but the fields have jumps ect in now and the horses out there def are not Arab, i heard there was some stunning stock at that stud |

I'm not 100% sure but I think Monitor was sold to the Saudis or somewhere like that. Correct me if I'm wrong. |

Hi Spirit,
I've just bought a colt whose grandad is Monitor too!! Monitor seems to have come from a very impressive line of Champions, as I was sad enough to sit one night and go through all the horses on the list on All Breeds website!! My lad is by AJA Ben Nazif (FS Bengali) though so there is an Egyptian influence with him.
Good luck with your filly. Is her dam russian bred too?

Nimroz is by Moment who is the sire of Grand - who is turn the sire of Toman - Lovely Chestnut boy bred at Al Waha - he won a heack of a lot under saddle last year.
Sub: Toman's sire Grand is by Mukomol not by Moment. I think you have linked Al Waha as we bred him and it is Narim RASB at Al Waha that is by Moment .
Spirit: the Monitor you are looking for is by Nimroz x Matritsa, all Russian lines.
