RIGHT!!!
Someone out there must know the correct way to set one of these up! I bought one last week and although I haven't attempted to use it yet, I just know I'm going to get it wrong!
How short should the lengthts that go to the bit actually be? Is it a similar set up to a running martingale in that they should be short enough to stop the head coming up higher than acceptable?
Sorry to appear so dumn about this, but there were no instructions in the packet, and I would prefer not to find out the hard way, as to how short to set it!!
Thanks everyone for reading my query.

We used one of these a couple of years ago and have to say it did the trick. It certainly builds up the neck muscles aswell, but it does promote a good shape. My only gripe would be that it has no support, ie when you're walking on a long rein it dangles precariously. We haven't used it recently, since we discovered one of those elastic bungee type aids. |

Thanks for the input guys!
I've bought this aid, because my youngster is quite bad at throwing his head up and likes to lean on the rider! I have to say that I've just the aid a couple of times now and he really is a bit more respectful. He has suddenly decided that it is really best if he relaxes and stretches!
Thanks again.
