Posted - 04 May 2017 : 4:53:04 PM Just wondering whether you would go to a show that did not have stabling - like we used to in the olden days. I will put this on the fb page later but so much easier to find on this site. Details of how far you would travel if no stables and why you would not go without stabling would be useful. |

Posted - 06 May 2017 : 06:10:48 AM I would if just doing a class, maybe 2, but taking more than 2 horses for any length of time probably not. Ali used to pull back when tied up, for not obvious reason, finally he ended up going through the post and rail fencing on yard, as well as damaging himself!!! I ended up not tieing him up for over a year! One day I tied him up....and he's now fine. But I'm not sure in the back of my mind if he wouldn't do it again when left, when other horse went in its class. Probs paranoid :) Although makes it very costly I can relax and not stand over him like one of 'those' mums :) Supposed to be going to Windsor, just to make up numbers lol, without stable, but just one class each so should be ok!!! although rider unwell and now problems with transport so not sure we will get there! Hope the numbers are good so there are classes next year! |
