Anyone own one of these? Is it any good? I've been looking at this one http://www.showerking.co.uk/ Fed up with dirty manes and used-to-be white socks and not mean enough to bath them in cold water in this weather. |

I bought several showerkings for my glamping sites and found that they didn't work if it was windy and we generally couldn't get them working very well. JMHO. |

I thought I'd report back. Its all a bit Heath Robinson but it does work. The 13kg gas cannister which is recommended is slightly too big for the trolley so I'd advise getting a smaller one. I needed quite a lot of help assembling it and especially connecting it to the gas.
I wouldn't have needed the version with a pump and I'd say our water pressure is about average. I liked the settings on the end of the hose and the shampoo container. I got a lot less wet than I normally do washing them as they didn't jiggle around as much under warm water.
Both horses are quite a bit cleaner today though, Marvin has a pretty silver mane again and Marcel has clean stockings. Marcel LOVED the hot water and stood stock still. Marvin will need time to get used to the coloured hoses and did a good amount of snorting (even when it was Marcel's go) |

Sally, I think you can fit a pump if you have low water pressure. Would be worth contacting them as they are very helpful.

I would love one of these but we are on spring water and ha e been told you need good water pressure to use one, has anybody found this to be the case. |

We have had one on the yard for over a year and it is brilliant! It is fixed to the wall rather than on a trolley and the inlet connected to the tap which used to run a cold hose. Outlet can still be used cold simply by not putting the heater on. I show a heavily feathered cob with 3 white legs and unbelievably thick tail and the warm water is a godsend! It is used by around 20 of us, having been bought with money raised at the yard fun day which I run each year. |

The 'Hot horse' one is almost twice the cost of the Showerking. The Hippo one - ooh I have shower lust, the one you can use with no water source would be great for endurance. £495 though, may have to hide receipt in 'guilty treasures' drawer. Thanks for pointing that one out. May need to do some technical research... |

My pal has Hot Horse shower for years with a lot of use; it has broken a couple of times however company have sorted it quickly. |

I've had a hot horse shower for the last 4 years and due to having had two children it hasn't been used as much as I would have liked.. It's recently given up the ghost so not terribly impressed at its longevity... After lots of googling I have just ordered a hippo horse shower, bit more expensive but hoping more robust!! |

Well its really as Marvin and I have started this dressage lark (when I say 'dressage' Karl Hester doesn't need to be concerned in any way, we are only doing 'intro to canter' Its just he looks soooo much prettier actually grey rather than sort of yellowish grey. And the riding club (I've noticed) have used him as their poster-boy (well, why wouldn't they, he is a beauty queen) As one one of my so-called-friends pointed out, you'd think they'd use a photo of a horse that was actually good at dressage rather than one who came 4th (out of 5) You probably didnt need to know all that. |

There was one on fFB for £140. Must admit I did think about it :)
But first comes the tractor....have an arena now so need something to pull the oh god I've forgotten it's name, leveller? And a large new shed to keep them in!
I guess as horses at home a shower isn't a necessity! :)
If you've got grey surly it is a necessity:) no? |

My pal had a horse shower on a trolley, looked to do the job very well with full bath for grey show Connies. I've text to ask make and how it lasted. Will post any update. |
